About

As a dedicated and accomplished individual, Senior Recruiter for the Canadian Forces, and a recent Bachelor of Business Administration graduate with a strong Human Resource Management focus, I am seeking to utilise and foster my knowledge and experience through a rewarding and challenging career in Human Resource Management fields.

I am a conscientious, dedicated, and professional individual who has a strong work ethic and an ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and succeed under pressure. Through hard work and perseverance, and many years of working and studying full-time, I completed the Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.  Working and studying full-time has allowed me to pursue my interest in a career in Human Resources in fields such as Recruitment, Training, Organizational Development and Occupational Health and Safety through academic training as well as practical experience through a number of related positions in the Canadian military.

I have over 12 years of experience in various full and part-time positions with the Royal Canadian Navy, including five years experience as a full-time recruiter where I was responsible for attracting potential applicants,  applicant file  management and finally for leadership training as an instructor on both Basic Recruit and Basic Officer Training. The Navy has also provided opportunities for me to develop through supervisory and management positions as a Departmental Supervisor and the Assistant to the Vancouver Community Naval Liaison and Visiting Ships Coordinator for Maritime Forces Pacific. My responsibilities in this position included scheduling, planning and providing logistical support for visiting Canadian and Foreign military vessels visiting Vancouver.
